Public event news ... and how I gave myself the 'ick'

Hello

I promised to only send you a newsletter when I thought I had something worth sharing….

Public events - Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth

I very rarely hold public events so when I do, I really want to make sure you know about it.

Next week I will be launching my new book with a 20 min interactive session, followed by your opportunity to ask questions and pick up a signed copy. I am told spaces are definitely LIMITED so if you would like to come along please be sure to register ASAP. Would love to see you there!

  • SYDNEY - Dymocks George St - Tuesday 3 June - 12.30pm - 1.30pm

  • MELBOURNE - Mary Martin Bookshop - Wednesday 4 June - 12pm - 1pm

  • BRISBANE - Brisbane Square Library - Friday 6 June - 1pm - 2pm

  • PERTH - City of Perth Library - Thursday 12 June - 6pm - 7.30pm

The one where I give myself the ‘ick’

Before I wrote books, I couldn’t understand why writers were always asking to pre-order their book. Now that I write books, I get it. Basically, it comes down to the way sales are calculated up.

If you are interested in a bit of “behind the scenes” info on the publishing industry, I made this short video last week. You will also see how talking about book sales gives me the ‘ick’ but I push through anyway. It helped that I happened to be sitting on beautiful Mindil Beach in Darwin (although as I send this I am in London, so life moves fast!)

The bottom line ….

If you think you are *ever* going to buy a copy of Blindspotting, I would love to consider ordering it now.

Blindspotting is out next Tuesday 3 June so if you place an order today it will basically be in your letterbox before you can blink. And it really does make a massive difference. Thank you!

PRE-ORDER BLINDSPOTTING TODAY

Booktopia is also offering 10% of the already reduced price - just use the code BLIND10.

As always, thank you for your support. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the many emails and messages I receive.

I hope you are thriving wherever you are in the world.
